Hello,
My name is Erin Shipley and I thank you for viewing my work. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy working to bring these images and thoughts to you.

I believe in sharing what I see as my true calling. The Universe is my “working partner”. My best works are the images I feel I was led to, and not "earned" solely through hard work and perseverance, (not that there isn’t a great deal of that involved though).

People tell me I have a knack for being in the right place at the right time to snap that shutter. I must admit, as I look through the thousands of photographs I have taken, there is a magical feeling that makes my hairs stand up when I see one that captures something of the story behind the picture.

What I have taken to be my mission is finding the picture that tells a story, of the joy of birth; the toil of life while building nests; the play of young; the quickness and sadness of life lost. These events, all points in time and life, we have in common with every other living creature on earth. They are not exclusively the domain of human experience. I hope you are imbued with some of the awe and wonder to which I am privileged while working in the field.
